Wellbeing isn’t just about your physical health. It’s also about maintaining a healthy emotional balance so you have the resilience to take on life’s stressors and cope with any big changes that come your way.

24x7 support is available: 800-538-3543 / www.cignalap.com
If you are in crisis, call 911 immediately

Need a little extra support? The Life Assistance Program (LAP) through Cigna provides you and your dependents with confidential, short-term counseling services and additional work-life resources to help you with emotional, behavioral, and other issues you may be experiencing, such as help with finding pet care, elder care, and caregiver support. What's more, LAP services are available to anyone in your household. LAP clinicians are available in-person, via phone, or through live chat.

A Cigna LAP consultant can connect you with the following range of services:
  1. Elder Care (companion services, home health care, safety monitoring)
  2. Financial (spending habits, budgeting strategies, debt consolidation, managing credit, retirement planning)
  3. Physical Health (nutrition, exercise)
  4. Emotional Health (stress, depression, grief)
  5. Job/Career (job skills, career growth, networking)
  6. Relationship (marital, domestic violence)
  7. Family Life (parenting, development, childcare)
  8. Legal (domestic/family law, civil law, real estate law)
  9. Substance Use (alcohol, drugs)

LAP telephone consults last 20 to 30 minutes and are available Monday-Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Eastern time. When you're ready to request a call, please submit a request through myCigna. If you need help after hours, or on the weekend or on a holiday, call the LAP 800 number directly. LAP telephone consultations are not intended to provide crisis counseling.

All full-time, benefits-eligible ACS employees are eligible for this program and receive three complimentary face-to-face sessions with a behavioral counselor; a benefit that can be shared with your family members.
Enrollment in a Cigna medical plan is NOT required for eligibility.
