Pre-Employment Screening and Clearance Verification

Pre-Employment Candidate Clearance Verification Requirement
In order to determine whether a candidate is appropriately qualified for an advertised position that requires a security clearance, a pre-employment candidate clearance verification check is required. In other words, a member of ACS's personnel security team must verify that you have the requisite security clearance eligibility before you can interview and be considered for the position.
Required Information
The ACS recruiter you work with regarding the open position you are being considered for will provide you with a Candidate Clearance Verification Form (also attached to this article) after a successful initial screening interview. This form is a required part of the clearance verification process, as it provides your approval for a member of ACS Security to verify your security clearance eligibility in certain US Government security clearance databases. You must provide the following information in order for ACS Security to verify your clearance eligibility:
- Full Legal Name
- Social Security Number
- Date of Birth
- Citizenship
- Place of Birth
Submitting the Candidate Clearance Verification Form
When completed, ACS's Candidate Clearance Verification Form contains your sensitive Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and must be returned directly to ACS Security (not your recruiter) in a secure manner.

Fax Submission
If electronic submission is not possible, an alternative method to securely return the Candidate Clearance Verification Form to ACS Security is via fax: +1-703-563-9586.

If you have questions or concerns about completing or returning the Candidate Clearance Verification Form, you may contact your ACS recruiter and ask to have a member of the ACS Security team contact you.
Important Note: A completed Candidate Clearance Verification Form is required for all candidates being considered for a position that requires a security clearance. In order to properly protect your personal information, we will not accept this information from you verbally.
Protecting Your Information
The information you provide to us is protected at all times as required by the Privacy Act of 1974 (5 USC 552a(I)(3)) as amended and other applicable DoD regulatory and statutory authorities. The data you provide to us will not be published, disclosed, released, revealed, shown, sold, rented, leased or loaned to anyone outside of the performance of official duties and only used to verify your current clearance status.
