How to Reset Windows Hello Fingerprint


How to reset Windows Hello fingerprint


-Click on the “Start” button.

-Type “sign-in”

-Select “sign-in options”

-Click “Windows Hello fingerprint”

-Click “Remove”

-Click “Set Up”

-Click “Get Started”

-Type your “pin” and place your finger on the fingerprint reader.

-Follow the rest of the directions and click close at the end.



Click Start

Type GPEDIT and turn on all the following policies.
  • Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates
    • \System\Logon
      • Turn on conveniece PIN sing-in (Enable)
    • \Biometrics
      • Allow the use of biometrics (Enable)
      • Allow users to log on using biometrics (Enable)
      • Allow domain users to log on using biometrics (Enable)
    • \Windows Hello for Business
      • Use a hardware security device (Enable)
      • Use biometrics (Enabled)
  • Create the following registry key.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\System]
"AllowDomainPINLogon"=dword:00000001
